    Information Manager Position

    JOB TITLE: 

    Information Manager

    DEPARTMENT:

    Information Technology

    EDUCATION:

    High School, AA Degree, BA or BS

    FLSA STATUS:

    Exempt

    SUMMARY:

    Plans, organizes, and administers controlled information flow within the organization, and with the organization’s clients, partners, and providers

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    The following list of functions is descriptive of the work to be performed but it should not be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, functions and tasks that the job may require.

     

    ·         Analyze the needs of departments and partners to establish systems design and implementation of the information processing systems

    ·         Design, develop, and maintain a corporate data warehouse which allows robust information sharing and project tracking across all levels of the business

    ·         Ensure strong collaboration with business partners by providing easy to use information sharing capabilities

    ·         Coordinate with the Director of Information Technology to ensure optimal use of available technology

    ·         Maintain and enhance corporate web-based communications structure and document library (Windows Sharepoint Services, MS SQL Server 2005)

    ·         Develop, deploy, and maintain data analysis tools for end users (using MS SQL Server, Microsoft Excel, etc.)

    ·         Support marketing, proposal development and proposal pricing efforts with technical expertise in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

    ·         Use various Internet database systems to gather business development intelligence (FedBizOpps, Central Contractor Registry, Small Business Administration, etc.)

    NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    ·         Other duties as may be assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    3 years experience with information management and database administration

    Demonstrated experience with the following technologies:

    • Microsoft Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS)
    • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services
    • Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, and MS FrontPage
    • MS Visual Studio

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    5 years experience with information management and database administration

    Microsoft Certified Professional status

    This job involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc. may be minimally required.  The job involves significant levels of verbal and written communications.  For the majority of the scheduled work time, the worker is subject to inside, controlled environmental conditions (such as typical office or administrative work.)
